GOOD MUSIC IS GOOD MUSIC, AND DALE HAS MADE PLENTY OF IT WITH OTHER EXCEPTIONAL MUSICIANS.

You're most likely to have heard Dale’s drumming with Sixpence None the Richer, with whom he recorded five albums, sold millions of records, was nominated for several awards (including two Grammys), and scored three Top-Ten singles with the songs “Kiss Me,” “There She Goes,” and “Breathe Your Name.”

If you missed him with Sixpence, though, there’s never a shortage of opportunities to watch or hear his music. In 2013, for instance, he became one of the core touring members of Big Star’s Third Live, a concert event celebrating the music of Big Star, featuring a rotating roster of guest performers including members of Wilco, The Posies, REM, Beck, Dawes, Tom Petty, The dB's, Yo La Tengo, and the Kronos Quartet. He’s also played with Blake Mills, Aimee Mann, Benmont Tench, Van Dyke Parks, and Bobby McFerrin.

You may also find him occasionally touring with National and Regional Acts. In recent years this has included short tours and shows with Matt Maher, Mission House, American Aquarium, BJ Barham, Kate Rhudy, Brett Harris, Thad Cockrell, and North Carolina music luminaries including Chris Stamey, Peter Holsapple and Mitch Easter.

Or, Dale may be in the pit orchestra you hear at the next musical theater show you attend.  In the past several years, Dale has been a regular musician in the orchestras supporting the local Raleigh theater scene, holding down the drum chair for marquee shows locally produced by NC Theater, Theater Raleigh, NC Conservatory, NC State, Peace College, and Playmakers Repertory Theatre.

No matter their genre, artists and directors have been trusting Dale to back them up for a very long time, and he is quite at home on virtually any stage.
